Commercial Activities in Gamatal area, as well as various Relocation sites :

After devastating earthquake, to rehabilitate earthquake-affected people of Bhuj City and also to decongest the Gamtal area, it was decided to have relocation sites in the vicinity of 2 kilometers of Bhuj. To care of above, three relocations sites namely

1. R.T.O. Relocation Site
2. Mundra Road Relocation site
3. Rawalvadi Relocation site

All the above sites are full-fledged relocation sites having facilities for residence, infrastructure facilities like roads, sewage system and water pipelines.

To cater to the requirement of the inhabitant of the Relocation Sites and people of Bhuj city, commercial centers were required to be constructed.

Accrodingly, tenders were invited for the above three relocation sites and two Bhid gate site and Sonivad site and two parties – M/s Katira construction and M/s Cube construction were found qualified for the development of the above. Approximately 1600 shops will be constructed at these sites and will be allotted to earthquake and town planning affected people of Bhuj to re-boost the commercial activities after earthquake.
