Rawalvadi Site

Situated in the south of the city, the another beautiful relocation site spreads over 66364 area, total 1808 plots are of 100, 150 and 200 sq.m. area.

Total 1708 beneficiaries did qualify for the land and 1708 people have already taken over the possession.

Tenants: 497 beneficiaries have been allotted plot and 497 have taken the possession and houses have already been constructed for them through NGO

Facilities: This picturesque site is being ornated with a Hill garden, which will attract people from Bhuj. The southern periphery of the location is on 36 m ring road, which goes straight to the Air port and other important highways.

A well-planned commercial complexes are going to come up and Lions club project for hospital is already over. Government has already constructed a school building. Ward Office is going to be set-up to address the problems of local people.

Community participation :

For this site one community Raghuvanshi Lohana requested the Government to allot the houses together. These families are currently staying in GIDC and behind Bhanushalinagar and Mundra road, Government has allotted plot nuber C/40 to C/255 in A.I. zone of Rawalwadi site.

Description of NGO’s construction work on this site:

Rotary Rebuild Trust is making 157 houses absolutely free (one room kitchen). Beneficiaries (tenants) mostly are staying GIDC, tempurary settlement.

Caritas : (One room kitchen) This organization has chosen tenants only making 200 houses.

Gems & Jewelry : making houses on 281 plots. Tenants and owners of the houses are equally eligible. The cost of the construction is equally divided between the beneficiary and the NGO (two room kitchen)

Kachchh Yuvak Sangh: NGO from Mumbai has constructed 85 houses at the site. Beneficiaries will have to pay only the price of land and rest of the money will be paid by the NGO which will approximately figure 90,000/- per house. Construction area will be 250 sq.ft.
